How to register as a player
Step 1
If registering your kids as players (4.5 to 18 years), don’t forget to apply for your Active and Creative Kids voucher first.
Step 2
Register with Allambie Beacon Hill United through the PlayFootball website managed by Football Australia.
Youth (U12-U18) and Senior Players
Once registered, submit an MWFA Application form if you did not play in an MWFA competition (U12 and over) last year.
Before you register
Please read the information below on registration before registering on PlayFootball.
General Information
- Registration opens in January (exact date varies each year).
- Each player needs their own FFA Number:
- New players will need to create an FFA account (via PlayFootball).
- Returning players must use their previous email address to log on and retrieve their PlayFootball account.
- Each player for U12 and above will require a NEW photograph. You cannot proceed with your registration until it has been uploaded. Please see below for instructions on photos.
- If you did not play for the MWFA in the previous season you must complete an MWFA Application to Register.
Proof Of Age (POA)
If they have not previously done so, all players U12 and above (and new U10 or U11 players) must provide the MWFA (via the club) with a copy of one of the following proof of age documents.
- Birth certificate
- Drivers license
- Passport
If none of these are available, please complete the Statuary Declaration of Birth Date. This document requires the signature of a Justice of the Peace.
Active and Creative Kids Vouchers
The Active Kids Voucher scheme from 2023 expired on 31.Jan’24 and unfortunately these vouchers can no longer be redeemed.
The new Active and Creative Kids (ACK) Voucher scheme is available from 1.Feb’24 and is worth $50 which is discounted from your kids registration fee. The process is:
- Apply for your Active and Creative Kids Voucher using this link
- Register your child for Allambie Beacon Hill United using this link
- Enter the ACK Voucher number on the Payment Options screen at the end of the registration process.
Registration steps in detail
If you have never registered, proceed to step 1.
If you have registered at any time from 2019 onwards, proceed to step 2.
If you registered before 2019 but not since, read on here.
Your registration is with the old MyFootballClub system. Since then, FFA has migrated all current and previous registrations to the new PlayFootball system. If you have registered before you will be able to claim profiles from MyFootballClub provided you use the same email address to sign up.
Step 1: If last registered before 2019 only OR have never registered
- If you last registered in 2018 or earlier, claim your Football Account. Use your details and the email address you registered with previously – DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT.
- If you are a parent who does not play, set up a new account for yourself using your email address.
- Follow this link to go the Registration page for ABH United (or go to www.playfootball.com.au, click on “Re-Registering to play this season?”, start typing “Allambie“, then choose “Allambie Beacon Hill United Football Club“)
- Click on “Get Started”
- Click on “Continue” if you have not played since 2018 or have never played before
- Enter your details
- PlayFootball will send a code to your email address to verify your details
- If you have been registered previously you will then be shown a list of registrations with the same email address. Click on those you wish to link to your Account. Once you have claimed your participant history you will be able to register any of the linked family members on your account or sign up additional people.
Step 2: Registering (for returning players or once you have completed Step 1)
- Follow this link to go the Registration page for ABH United (or go to www.playfootball.com.au, click on “Re-Registering to play this season?”, start typing “Allambie“, then choose “Allambie Beacon Hill United Football Club“)
- Click on “Get Started”
- Click on “Sign In”
- Enter your email address and password to sign in to your Football Account
- Select the participant you are Registering – myself, Linked Person or New Person – and Continue
- Scroll through the list of Products and pick the most appropriate, eg. U6 Mixed, O35, Junior/Youth Coach, etc
- Click “Continue”. A screen showing the fee breakdown will appear – click on “Continue”
- Scroll down through the Participant Details, Other Personal Information, and Organisational Specific Information, making any relevant updates. At the bottom, click “Continue”
- Review the Profile Photo. If none there, click on Select Profile Image, browse from your device. Click “Continue”
- International Transfer Clearance – Answer the question to proceed
- Review your order. If you need to modify your product selection or details, select “Modify” in the appropriate section
- For Terms and Conditions, either click the checkbox on the page or follow the link to read and review them all in a popup. Scroll to the bottom and “Accept All”.
- Uncheck any of the marketing boxes you wish to opt out of, then click “Continue”
- On the Payment screen, enter any “Vouchers/Coupons codes”, (eg. Active and Creative Kids Voucher) and click “Apply”. The voucher amount will automatically be deducted from the total.
- Fill in your Visa or Mastercard details to pay online
- Once the payment is complete you will receive a confirmation message and you can then continue with another registration if necessary.
Registration approval
Registration will not be approved until all paperwork has been received, your photo has been checked (see below) and payment has been received. No exceptions will be made. Once your registration has been approved by the club you will receive a confirmation email. However, approval by the MWFA is still required before you can play.
Visa or MasterCard can make online payments. If you do not have access to a credit card, please select the Invoice Me option and contact the treasurer at treasurer@abhunited.com.au to make alternative arrangements. Alternative arrangements will only be permitted in exceptional circumstances.
Photos
All players from U12 and above plus any U10s or U11s who are available to play up (higher age) as substitutes must upload a photograph for the player ID. Passport-style or school photographs are preferred.
Please note – you can’t use just any photo (see examples below):
- The player must be looking at the camera
- Player should be photographed alone
- Head and shoulders only
- No hats, glasses or other accessories (see below re. glasses)
- No shadows
Glasses
For players who need to wear glasses: Glasses must be approved by the MWFRA and must be worn in the photograph. Please send photos of the glasses plus a photo of the player wearing the glasses to admin@mwfra.org.au for approval.
